Kevin Hart is an actor and comedian, originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After winning a few contests, he quit his job as a shoe salesman and embarked on a career in comedy. His performance in big shows has led him to be in feature films such as Soul Plane, Fool's Gold, Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, Along Came Polly, and Scary Movie 4. Hart served as writer, co-executive producer and star of the 2004 ABC sitcom The Big House. In 2005 he won a Platinum Mic Viewers Choice Award at the BET Comedy Awards and has also starred in his own half-hour special on Comedy Central and performed on HBO's Def Comedy jam.
