JumaDays @ AT&T Park | April 10th

JumaDays @ AT&T are a fun opportunity for you and your colleagues to make a difference in the lives of low income Bay Area students by becoming a ballpark vendor for a day and helping youth earn money for college. Through vending, you learn about Juma's social enterprise business, spend the day at AT&T Park during an SF Giants game, and directly support our programs and youth by earning real revenue. Your participation is crucial to Juma's business.

Schedule

9:30AM | Registration and Security Check

Registration will take place at South Beach Park (The park is located just a few steps Northeast of AT&T Park along the Embarcadero).  During this registration process you will receive your uniform pieces and a wristband that will grant you access to the ballpark. After check-in, feel free to grab some coffee and a bagel! This down time would also be a perfect opportunity to tweet out your #JumaDays excitement :)
 
Once the group has arrived, we will walk to the employee entrance for security clearance where all bags will be searched by ballpark security staff. Please note that the stadium tour will begin promptly at 10am. Due to security measures at the park, we are no t able to let through multiple groups of volunteers. Please plan to arrive early!

10AM | Stadium TourJuma staff will give a behind-the-scenes orientation to the stadium, concluding at Juma's commissary area on the 5th floor.

11AM | Volunteer TrainingJuma's Enterprise Team will provide training on the different roles offered at community days and provide vendors with tips and tricks when it comes to selling.

12PM | LunchYou will have a chance to sit down in the stadium seats and enjoy lunch. This is also a great time to take a walk around the stadium and plan out your vending course for the day!

12:30PM | Shift StartEveryone will be sent out their stations! Commissary will be open during this time if you have questions or need to restock product.

3:30PM | Shift Wrap-UpService will end around the bottom of the 8th inning or top of the 9th inning. At this time everyone will return to commissary; vendors will return leftover product and count out cash.

4PM | Service Close-OutAfter all vendors are counted out, Juma staff will announce the totals for the day and award the Juma Jersey to the top seller!
 
What to Wear/Bring

What to Wear:

Black or Dark Pants
Athletic Shoes

Wear clothes that you wouldn't mind getting a bit dirty and shoes that are comfortable. Juma will provide each volunteer with a short sleeve uniform shirt and visor for the duration of their shift.

What Not to Wear:

Jeans/Capris/Shorts
Heels or open-toed shoes
Hats
Elaborate Jewelry

What to bring:

Photo ID

Small bags: During the day you can leave your belongings in our secure office, but please be aware that space is limited. No large backpacks or big purses please.

Small snacks and/or lunch: We suggest bringing a bag or box lunch from outside the stadium (most in stadium vendors are not ready to sell until just before the game). No glass containers are permitted in the building. Don't forget to eat a hearty breakfast and pack a snack it' going to be a long (fun-filled) day!
