July - FREE Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Just Won Ton (see times)
Most of us feel compassion when a close friend is struggling. What would it be like to receive the same caring attention whenever you needed it most? Come to Integrative Wellness SF's Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion and learn self-compassion tools to manage stress, anxiety and overwhelm. This meeting is intended to be an introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion, and by the end you will depart with:

4 - 5 self-compassion practices to immediately incorporate into your day-to-day life
a lived experience of the physiological benefits of mindful self-compassion, including decreased stress and increased ease and enjoyment of your day
neurobiological explanation of mindfulness & self-compassion, and how the practice can re-wire the brain

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to challenging and stressful moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding. Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional well-being, reduced anxiety and stress, maintenance of healthy habits, and satisfying personal relationships. With mindful self-compassion, we’re better able to recognize our challenging moments and to face them with a kinder, more compassionate and sustainable response. Self-compassion provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to admit our shortcomings, motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and be more authentically ourselves. Self-compassion also provides the support and inspiration required to make necessary changes in our lives and reach our full potential. For more information on Mindful Self-Compassion, please go to integrativewellness-sf.com
