One Brick is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides support to other local non-profit and community organizations by creating a unique, social and flexible volunteer environment for those interested in making a concrete difference in the community. This enables people to get
involved, have an impact and have fun, without the requirements of individual long-term commitments.
When we finish each volunteer project, we gather as a group at a local bar or restaurant for food, drinks and the opportunity to continue to get to know each other. This helps to create a really fun social outlet as part of your volunteer experience.
Here's a little more information about the upcoming event:

Brown fingers - Yeh, no problem. We'll let you do the mulching, not much harm you can do there! - Join us!
So if your interested in meeting other like-minded individuals for some volunteer Saturday gardening?
One Brick will be volunteering at City Forest Nursery. City Forest is an awesome a local non profit that has planted more than 60,000 trees in San Jose since 1994. That's like a lot man. Imaging San Jose without all those trees! It's be kinda like LA and we don't want that, now do we?
Our City Forest's nursery is where all of the new trees are housed before they are planted in San Jose. One Brick will help with irrigation, repotting, pruning, weeding, early tree care and tree stake/tool maintenance, all in preparation for upcoming plantings!
So please join us whatever color your thumb is!
Hope to see you there! Please RSVP so we know who will be joining us.
Note: Please should wear close-toed shoes, clothes that don't mind getting dirty, bring drinking water, and be prepared with sun/rain protection. Some heavy lifting may be required (but can be avoided if you tell us). We also recommend you bring gardening gloves if you have them, though not required. We'll work rain or shine, because it's so much fun! :)
