Coinciding with the exhibition of John Akomfrah’s recent work Vertigo Sea (2015), SFMOMA presents three of Akomfrah’s films — Handsworth Songs (1986), The Nine Muses (2011), and The Stuart Hall Project (2013) — that reflect on untold stories of migration from Africa, the Caribbean, and South Asia to Great Britain.
