An unforgettable and provocative evening of salon-style theater!
When the mind doesn't work the way others expect it to there is a recipe for laughs and for heartbreak. These are stories from individuals whose brains operate a bit differently.
Mental illness is no laughing matter, but these stories and poems just might surprise you with their humor, heart, courage and hope.
About Jewish Women's Theatre
Jewish Women's Theatre (JWT) is a non-profit arts group that reinvents Jewish theater by putting a contemporary spin on the centuries-old tradition of salons. JWT aims to leave no Jewish story untold, while celebrating the truths that connect us all. Encouraging and supporting both lay and professional writers and artists, JWT inspires and performs original works that empower and educate individuals, create community and build cultural legacy. JWT seeks, develops and adapts stories celebrating a diverse Jewish population that can share the stage, regardless of gender, generation, degree of Jewish observance, ethnicity, cultural background, or sexual orientation. And so we draw audiences of all ages, both women and men, mostly Jewish, but not all.
