After stops in New York, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco, the 5th annual Jewish Playwriting Contest is coming to Silicon Valley for the first time!
In a one-of-kind event created by New York-based Jewish Plays Project (JPP), actors will read 20-minute sections from three plays. JPP Founder David Winitsky will share the latest theatrical trends and the audience will vote on a winner-using cell phones!
The winner gets a workshop production for industry leaders in New York City as part of JPP's OPEN: Festival of New Jewish Theater in June.
Over 913 plays from 650 writers in 29 states and 8 countries entered the contest. We present the Top 3 for your enjoyment--and judgment.
