Join the JFCS young professional community on July 26, 6:00 pm at the historic Castro Theater for the SF Jewish Film Festival screening of 1945, followed by drinks and discussions.
Tickets for this event must be purchased through the film festival prior to the film screening (Discount codes below)!
About the Film
1945 looks at complicated postwar Hungary. As its description states, “while there have been many films about the Holocaust, there are few about its immediate aftermath when greed and material gain from the Jewish peoples’ demise was pervasive.” Watch the trailer >
Late Happy Hour
Immediately following the film we'll head out for discussions, drinks, and light appetizers. Connect with other like-minded individuals who also participate in JFCS's groups for young professionals including Volunteers in Community Connections, participants in the New Leaders Council, 3gSF (grandchildren of survivors), and RJen members.
It's a great opportunity to see friends, meet new people, learn about the work of JFCS, and debrief this provocative film.
(Location for Happy Hour is TBD - stay tuned!)
