SEE EVENT DETAILS
at connecticut (see times)
A New Haven Connecticut court is in the process of dismissing all remaining charges against Jeffrey Hamburg, saying that there was no evidence to support any further action by the court. To date, all court cases against Mr. Hamburg have ceased and he has no further obligation to the courts. It was pointed out by a court observer, that Mr. Hamburg has been subjected to unreasonable and what now is evident were fallacious legal attacks by various parties who, despite the evidence and lack of evidence, have blamed him for his ex-wife’s murder 4 years ago. This was in spite of the police finding DNA evidence at the scene of the homicide that was not Mr. Hamburg’s. In addition, Mr. Hamburg was present with his ex-wife’s lawyer in court at the time of her death. According to police sources, Mr. Hamburg had never been named a person of interest or a suspect by the police, and had been divorced from his ex-wife for more than five years at the time of her death. It was later discovered in a criminal case heard last year in the US District Court for the District of Connecticut, that Mr. Hamburg’s ex-wife was involved in a pyramid scheme called the “women’s gifting tables,” which included recruiting, in addition to housewives and professional women, AA members and requiring them to pay in a $5000 entry fee. It was claimed in court papers that millions of dollars were said to have changed hands and the organizers profited from this exchange of money. Mr. Hamburg’s ex-wife’s aunt, a close relation, was one of the organizers of the gifting tables and was found guilty of tax related and conspiracy charges and was sentences to 4 1/2 years in prison. She began her sentence in October of 2013. Testimony during that trial had witnesses claim that they believed Mr. Hamburg’s ex-wife’s death was connected to this pyramid scheme and that she was recruiting from AA of which she was a leader, and such recruitment caused dissention amongst the local AA members.
Jeffrey Hamburg has had a distinguished career as an innovator in the field of energy, IT, transportation, environment and infrastructure. He and four others at AES Corporation are credited with developing the first cogeneration and private power company in the US and expanding this concept around the world. These projects along with the unique project financing and the innovative designs, construction, and operations that was required, allowed for the reduction of the cost of generating of power in the US, while providing low cost power to populations of countries that had poor credit but needed the power to develop their economies.
Mr. Hamburg led the first commercial GPS company in the United States, pioneering the use of GPS for consumers and for graphical information systems for companies and municipalities. Many of the innovations seen today in the GPS market were developed by Mr. Hamburg’s company.
Mr. Hamburg has been at the forefront of environmental treatment designs. He worked closely with companies in the early days of clean water and clean air treatment to meet the new EPA guidelines, and developed many of the system still in use today.
Recently, Mr. Hamburg has been involved with bringing innovation to African countries that are in need of power and infrastructure. These potential projects include alternate energy, transmission and distribution of electricity, environmental concerns, transportation, fish farms for local food supply and export, and other industries that would help the populace with regard to services and jobs. Mr. Hamburg’s cross cultural training helps to successfully negotiate through the red tape that surrounds doing business in developing countries.
