Arborist Chris Ingram will discuss the selection, planting and early training of Japanese maples, proper pruning and structuring of existing Japanese maples, and the key differences in pruning needs among varieties. Chris will emphasize the pruning of acer dissectum (laceleaf). The class will be part classroom lecture and part field demonstration, weather permitting.
