The San Jose Stage Company is proud to present its newest production, a theatrical adaptation of Jane Austen's last finished novel, "Persuasion." Adapted by Jennifer Le Blanc and directed by Kenneth Kelleher, "Persuasion" tells the story of Anne Elliot who was persuaded by her aristocratic family to end her engagement with Captain Wentworth. Now that he has returned from war, rich and successful, Wentworth finds Anne to be unmarried and full of regret. Has he forgiven her, or will his new fortune and fame lead him to prefer younger, less impressionable women?
