In 2001 Jamaica Stevens, Founder and Jamaica-Stevens-Founder-Executive-DirectorExecutive Director of JAMaROO Kids (formally known as Discovering the Joy of Dance) decided to combine her knowledge of Child Development with her passion for dance, music and teaching. Consequently she created an Introduction to Creative Movement and Dance class for preschool aged children. In 2004, she was passionate about expanding this program and left her position as Head Teacher at ABC Academy Preschool to embark on teaching these dance classes full time.
