JACK LONDON SQUARE TOGETHER WITH CANINE COMPANIONS TO HOST FUN-FILLED ‘DOGFEST’ EVENT

Jack London Square, one of the Bay Area's top dining, recreation and commercial districts (www.jacklondonsquare.com), invites the community to enjoy the Canine Companions Bay Area DogFest event on Saturday, October 19th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the plaza near Plank. Attendees will enjoy Halloween-themed fun with entertainment and activities for the whole family, including a Canine Companions canine costume contest with prizes, service dog demonstrations, a community dog art project, crafts, a kids zone with games and activities, dog-related vendors, a DJ spinning festive tunes, a Doggie Selfie Studio (donation required), and dog treat bags with donation (offer valid only on October 19th, one gift bag per donation, while supplies last). This event is free of charge and open to the public; however, space is limited, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged: canine.org/DogFestNorthwest. While the event is free to attend, donations are also encouraged and include a chance to sponsor Myrtle and Milton, two Labrador Retriever puppies beginning their training as service dogs. Proceeds will go to Canine Companions whose mission is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained service dogs free of charge.
