This year's production of Jack and the Beanstalk is a musical retelling of an English Fairy Tale originally written by Joseph Jacobs. All ends well in this toe-tapping, whimsical comedy filled with wonderful characters such as the gullible young Jack, his poor Mother, their lovable cow Betsy, an evil baron, a madcap inventor Giant, as well as his silly lab assistants and magical creations, the Golden Harp and Golden Goose. The play is full of surprises as not all characters are exactly what you expect them to be! The performance last approximately 50 minutes.
Director Bill Starr and musical director Bill Keck infuse the show with their decades of musical theater prowess. Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy bring the classic story to life with their adaptation, music and lyrics. The play is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
