For 30 years the Isadora Duncan Dance Awards have celebrated the unique richness, diversity and excellence of Bay Area dance by honoring local dance artists and recognizing outstanding achievements in the field. Finalists in the seven categories related to music/text, visual design, performance and choreography will be announced at the ceremony. In addition, the awardees in the special and sustained achievement categories will be honored. During each performance cycle, an all volunteer committee of professionals in the dance field collectively views over 400 eligible performances, ultimately selecting final nominees and honorees in a democratic voting process held after the close of the viewing cycle.
The March 21st Ceremony & Celebration, honoring the 2014-2015 viewing year, is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us in celebrating these outstanding artists and 30 years of the Isadora Duncan Dance Awards.
