Intro to Magic Leap and Unity: Design and Development

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Intro:
How can we use the Magic Leap heaset in enterprise contexts? How can we prototype holographic AR experiences for the device?
This lightning workshop will be a quick dive into the headset technology, and an introduction to building Augmented Reality Unity applications for the headset (both design and development).
By the end of the workshop, you will have a basic understanding of how the headset technology works, key opportunities with Augmented Reality and Holograms, and direction for continued Unity learning.

Background
We’re kicking off the monthly event series with an introduction to Magic Leap. Having just returned from the Magic Leap conference, we’re excited to share key takeaways from the event, including emerging design patterns, use-cases and case studies, and insights into their future plans.
In this two hour workshop, we will discuss the Augmented Reality industry and where Magic Leap stands, Magic Leap professional use cases and case studies, key takeaways and emerging patterns from the Magic Leap conference, and finally, how to design and build your own AR application for this bleeding-edge headset.
We will begin and conclude with Magic Leap demos, as we will have a headset on-site. First come, first serve. We’re packing this evening to the brim, so keeping to the schedule will be very important. Please arrive on time!
Snacks and light refreshments included.
