Through a series of lyric and narrative poems, Glaysher surveys the wars, atrocities, and tragedies we human beings have perpetrated on one another during modern times, evoking why past generations passionately embraced The League of Nations and the United Nations, and affirms our deepest human capacities for cooperation and peace.
Over the long arch of global civilization, Glaysher honors the struggle toward developing Democracy and international institutions like the United Nations and a wider understanding of the depths of human consciousness. Eulogizes Woodrow Wilson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Dag Hammarskjöld, Arnold Toynbee, Ralph Bunche and Brian Urquhart with the Blue Helmets.
Frederick Glaysher has been an outspoken advocate of the United Nations, an accredited participant at the UN Millennium Forum (2000), and attended the UNA Members Day 2012 on the Millennium Development Goals, held in the General Assembly Hall. He has been a member and Board Member of the UN Association of Greater Detroit UNA-USA and attended activities in several chapters.
