Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is proud to partner with faith groups for our second interfaith garden beautification volunteer event! Join Habitat Greater San Francisco's Neighborhood Revitalization (NR) program for a morning of giving back to the community, while celebrating faith in the region we call home.
Volunteers from several different faith groups will work together throughout the morning, and the day will conclude with interfaith prayer. Join us for fruitful conversations and service work as we reflect on the theme of Renewal.
We will be restoring the Palou Phelps Garden, which sits across from one of San Francisco's last native grassland habitats and combines restoration, conservation, and environmental justice through gardening. Palou Phelps was originally intended to be a local native and edible garden for the community, but today it could use a little more love to serve the neighborhood it was intended for. Volunteer activities will include beautification of the property, low-intensity repairs, garden bed building, planting, tree trimming, and other gardening work.
