Indonesian Seafood Pop Up Dinner

SEE EVENT DETAILS
With thousands of islands, and what feels like more ocean than land within its borders, it is little surprise that seafood holds a special place in the hearts of Indonesians.

And so it seemed appropriate for seafood to take center stage at this extra special collaborative pop up between ChiliCali and Kaki Lima, two Indonesian chefs living on opposite American coasts committed to the same mission: Introducing Indonesian cuisine to an American audience.

ChiliCali is based in San Francisco Mission District. Chef Siska Marcus has been wowing the Bay Area with her pop ups for several years. She has also recently launched a line of Indonesian sauces. ChiliCali is featured among the Bay Area's best Indonesian cuisine by 7x7.

Based in Boston, Kaki Lima is on a tour collaborating with chefs of Indonesian heritage in cities throughout the West Coast. Kaki Lima was named Boston’s Best Pop Up and Chef Retno Pratiwi was nominated as an Eater Young Guns Semifinalist. Now ChiliCali and Kaki Lima — for the first time — are joining forces. And it is sure to result in some magical food.

You won’t want to miss this rare event!

We are committed to always sourcing the freshest ingredients. We will be highlighting West Coast seafood for this pop up, working with Water2Table, a team that guarantees sustainability and quality.

On the menu will be a selection of the area’s finest fish, prawns, squid, clams, and mussels. All of them prepared using Indonesian spices and flavors.

Looking forward to having you at our table!

BYOB. Drinks also available for purchase.

Due to the nature of this event, we are unable to accommodate allergies and other dietary restrictions. Please be aware that shrimp paste, tree nuts and peanuts are used in a lot of Indonesian cooking.
