Indivisible SF General Meeting with Special Guest Hene Kelley Sunday March 3, 2019

The meeting is open to anyone interested in resisting Trump's radical agenda of hate, division, and greed. 


Hene Kelly is woman of mature years, a seasoned veteran of politics at the grassroots level, and a vocal leader of demonstrations for senior programs, Single Payer Healthcare, Social Security, Medicare, and affordable housing. During 1960s, Hene worked in the civil rights movement both in Mississippi and Chicago, Illinois, worked with and dated Bernie Sanders, marched with Martin Luther King Jr., and once cooked him dinner. Hene is a retired San Francisco public school teacher and is active in her union. She is presently Sergeant at Arms of the San Francisco Labor Council, Secretary of the California Federations of Teachers Retired Division Council, and serves on the American Federation of Teachers Retirement Committee. Presently, Hene serves as vice-president of the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA) and is their Legislative Director. She is the Region 6 Director of the California Democratic Party (CDP), an Executive Board member of the CDP, and the Chair of the CDP Disabilities Caucus.Hene has offered to come to our meeting and speak about her experiences organizing, how to be effective, how to get involved politically, and most importantly, how to be a badass organizer just like her!


The Women's Building is on 18th Street near Valencia, a short walk from the 18th and Mission MUNI stops or from 16th and Mission BART.
