Books from the Future * Blind Date Books * Button Making * Roaming Photo Booth *
Hourly Book Raffles * Haiku Display * Prisoners Literature Project Book Drive (see details below!)

Story Time with Emma Bland Smith celebrating The Gardener of Alcatraz
at the San Francisco Botanical Garden!
Green Apple Books and the San Francisco Botanical Garden present the inaugural event in their new series, Books on the Garden!
Local author Emma Bland Smith shares her latest book with us in a special story time, with other fun activities as well
This is free to attend, but please RSVP AT THE LINK ABOVE

2:00pm
Join us in-store for a gift card raffle from local businesses, including Arizmendi, Queens, and more!

6:30pm - 8:30 pm
Live Music Supporting the Prisoners Literature Project
Line-up TBA!
This is a pay-what-you-wish benefit show with all proceeds going to our friends at the Prisoners Literature Project.

We are also doing a book drive for the PLP throughout the day.
How does the book drive work?
Donate any book from our Prisoners Literature Project display and on Saturday, April 30th and receive 20% off your entire purchase. Yes, that includes books for you!
This is for one day only, and only on purchases made in-store.

(Please note we cannot accept donations of books for the PLP from your personal collections.
We appreciate the effort, but due to the rules regulating books and mail in prisons throughout the US, we can only collect titles designated for PLP donation in-store).
