In-Store Tasting & Book Signing with Jane Lopes

Cost: $45 [includes one signed copy of Vignette & wine pours]
Location: Verve Wine SF (2358 Fillmore St.)
After years of studying Renaissance literature at the University of Chicago, Jane Lopes abandoned her dreams of academia and pursued a career in wine. Retail experience turned to on-premise, and Jane found herself working at one of Chicago's top cocktail bars, The Violet Hour. She later moved to Nashville to become the opening beverage director at The Catbird Seat, followed by a move to New York City to work the floor at the prestigious Eleven Madison Park. In 2017, Jane moved to Australia to run the beverage program at one of the country's top restaurants, Attica, where she still works today. The following year, Jane became one of only 34 women worldwide to pass the rigorous Master Sommelier exam. Jane lives in Melbourne with her husband, Jon, and her cat, Botrytis. In her new book, Vignette, Jane recommends the 100 bottles of wine (and some spirits/beers) to expand your wine journey and experience a complete palate education of styles, regions, and grape varieties.
