Impact Lab Series Launch and Networking Event
DESCRIPTION
Join us on Wednesday, September 26 in San Francisco to learn more about a new CATDC ongoing program, The Impact Lab Series. Connect with educators from CATDC member schools and community partners in exploring how we can support our students to be agents of change.
Featuring Kevin Brookhouser, teacher, speaker and author of The 20time Project: How Educators can Launch Google's Formula for Future-Ready Innovation.
IMPACT LAB SERIES
How do we provide opportunities for our students to learn deeply while making a deeper impact on their communities and the world? What are some of the greatest opportunities and common stumbling blocks in helping young people become social entrepreneurs and social impact leaders, connecting their passions with a larger purpose?
Join us in tackling these questions and more through The Impact Lab series, co-created by the CATDC and educators from The Scott Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the Hillbrook School; The San Francisco Friends School; and the Center for Awareness, Compassion and Engagement at Castilleja School. Each Impact Lab session will provide opportunities for educators from around the Bay Area to learn with and from each other, develop new skills and new ways of thinking, and make connections with others engaged in this work. Applying principles of design thinking and approaches to service learning as well as civic engagement, participants will develop fluency in systems that create change in order to build community and sustain authentic partnerships.
