As part of the festivities, we're holding a FREE art workshop. Learn how to make a comic strip with our operations assistant, Jade Howe. We will provide all the art supplies; you just need to bring your creative self! This all-ages class will be held at the International Youth Library, located at 849 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110.
The workshop will take place from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, so you have plenty of time to mingle and browse before and after!
During the party, we will also have a special book giveaway donated by our friends at Silver Sprocket! Silver Sprocket is a publisher, retail shop, and gallery space championing socially conscious and independently produced comic books, graphic novels, and related arts. They are located just down the street from us in the Mission, at 1018 Valencia St. Be sure to stop by and visit their curation of hundreds of fantastic graphic novels for kids of all ages.
Come draw, make friends, buy this glorious issue, sign up for a subscription, and browse a library of fantastic writing by young authors. We can't wait to see you there!
