HubCraft: Tatreez 101

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Learn the Art of Palestinian Embroidery

Join us at the Hub for a day of cultural connection, hands-on learning, and collective compassion. Led by Palestinian Tatreez artist Amanne Sharif of Min Amanne Designs, this special event offers a chance to engage with the rich heritage of Tatreez-the traditional Palestinian art of embroidery.

Together, we'll explore Tatreez's evolution from village storytelling to cultural preservation and resistance, tracing its journey from pre-1948 Palestine to its role today as a living, breathing tradition. Then, under Amanne's expert guidance, you'll learn the basics of the fallahi (cross) stitch and begin your own Tatreez motif.

No experience or supplies are needed-each participant will receive a Beginner Tatreez Kit to take home and continue their creative practice.

This gathering is hosted by Prosthetics for Palestine, a collective of multi-sector professionals working to meet the urgent and growing need for sustainable prosthetics in Gaza. By attending, you will be helping to provide both tangible support and space for cultural expression.

This is more than a workshop-it's an invitation to help stitch the fabric of community, one thread at a time.
