How To Make An Awesome Film In 48 Hours

Join us at BAVC for a panel discussion on creating quality video projects within a tight deadline. While this panel is designed for 48 Hour Film Project participants, the topics are relevant and valuable for video professionals of all skill levels.
Topics will include:

Writing workflow
Lighting
Cinematography tips
Shooting with a timeline
Teamwork
Quick & easy steps to making sure your audio is consistent.  
How to prepare for easy audio restoration when ADR is not an option
Ensuring objectivity during the edit
Editing processes
Exporting: Bit Rates, Presets, etc.

Please plan on arriving at 5:30 to grab a seat. We will start promptly at 6:00

Our Panelists:

Adam L Brinklow has written five 48 Hour Film Project movies with the Burntwire and Repertory teams, including 2011's 'Best Writing' winner 'Roomies.' Adam is a freelance writer and theater critic in the Bay Area and a contributor to SF Weekly and San Francisco Magazine and an editor at Curbed San Francisco.



Lawrence Rickford is a cinematographer based out of San Francisco, CA. Boasting a vivid portfolio containing a large variety of work ranging from live concerts and events, to weddings, real estate, and narrative/ documentary shorts. Much of his work is done through the Bay Area Video Coalition working as one of the primary cinematographers for the organization. When not working at the Bay Area Video Coalition he works as a freelance cinematographer throughout the bay area. Having worked for high profile clients such as Dignity Health, Stanford, Hip Hop TV, and Sotheby's Realty; Lawrence brings a sharp cinematic flare necessary to make your video stand out in an increasing competitive market.


Frank Slodysko has been participating in the 48 Hour Film Project since 2006, and has been a professional post-production specialist for even longer.  Having worked on so many 48 Hour films, he has a lot of tips and tricks to share which can greatly reduce time consumption during post-production, as well as make sure your film looks and sounds as good as possible for the screening.
