Please join the San Francisco Rose Society on Sunday, March 8 at 1 pm in the Recreation Room of the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park for a talk on how to graft "scion" roses onto root stock. Our speaker, Burling Leong, a rose hybridizer with over 30 years experience in the nursery industry, will explain the importance of joining a typical rose cutting with a specifically bred root which enables the plant to grow robust and healthy. Roses benefit greatly from budding or grafting onto root stock and Burling will describe how this is accomplished.
