How To Be A Good Friend: A Workshop with Christine Brooks

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Research shows us that strong professional and personal friendships are vital to health and wellbeing. Yet in the rush of our daily lives, maintaining and establishing friendships can sometimes be neglected.
Nurturing our networks is the only way to keep them healthy. Most of us were not taught these critical skills as kids. As adults, we can use the science of friendship to strengthen our connections.
In this workshop, educator and coach Christine Brooks utilizes tools such as emotional intelligence, friendship mechanics, and relational styles to enable you to enhance your relationships. Christine also teaches the process of befriending—the skills needed to make and maintain friends at work and in life. Walk away with your own nurturing networks action plan to put into play with your present and future friends.

Christine Brooks, PhD is a coach and educator with over 20 years experience integrating creativity and self-awareness practices into her own work and in supporting the work of others. She has a doctorate in psychology with specializations in clinical psychology and transformative education and research from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. She is a professor in the Expressive Arts Therapy program at CIIS. Christine co-founded the Science of Friendship Project in 2012 because she believes that our capacities for interaction and connection are our greatest commodities.
