Overview
Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has improved dramatically over the past decade. This progress has yielded more treatment choices for clinicians and patients but also adds greater complexity to the already diverse field of HIV. Clinicians must keep up with new data on treatment strategies, selection of appropriate individualized therapy, and effective management of treatment side effects. In this interactive, case-based program, expert faculty will provide guidance on how to incorporate new treatment strategies into clinical practice and discuss various aspects of HIV management, including selecting an initial antiretroviral regimen, switching ART, and managing treatment in HIV-stable patients with extensive comorbidities.
This program will include the unique audience-engaging educational gaming platform, Wheel of HIV Knowledge.

Apply updated evidence-based guidelines and recommendations when selecting initial treatment for patients with HIV.
Select and optimize HIV treatment regimens based on clinical safety and efficacy, propensity for resistance, and patient characteristics.
Consider existing comorbidities and conditions, as well as patient preferences, when selecting HIV treatment regimens to improve outcomes and increase adherence and compliance to therapy.
Implement effective switching strategies, as necessary, in patients who have become virologically resistant to therapy, experience drug interactions/toxicity, or who have become nonadherent.
Pharmacists
Apply updated evidence-based guidelines and recommendations when evaluating initial treatment options for patients with HIV.
