The Wender Weis Foundation for Children is thrilled to present the 10th annual Holiday Heroes. Our event is being held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at ORACLE PARK, home of the 2010, 2012 AND 2014 World Series Champion, San Francisco Giants. We will turn the Club Level at Oracle Park into a holiday wonderland for families, children, and more than 500 underserved children and their families. Holiday Heroes endeavors to connect at-risk children with professional athletes with the goal of providing the recipient children with hope & direction.
An invitation-only VIP Reception takes place from 4:30 - 6:00 PM, ON THE FIELD at Oracle Park (weather-permitting). There will be also early entry to the Batting Tunnels and Dugout, as well as to the event itself. S'mores on the field and special VIP-only children's activities and special wine and appetizers will be part of the VIP portion only. A TBA athlete will be presented with the seventh annual Inspiration Award. We will also have other VIP surprises. A wonderful group of athletes will be donating their time and appearing at Holiday Heroes.
Our main reception takes place at 5:30 PM on the Club Level, where this year we bring back our Teen Lounge, an area reserved for our 11-17 year old guests. In this exclusive area for teens, there will be high-energy music, a special teen-only activity, food, beverages, and a teen-only photo booth plus more!
For the rest of the Club level festivities, expect arts & crafts, holiday cookie decorating, teddy bear stuffing, video games, mascots, athletes, and a whole lot of holiday FUN and merriment.
We also sponsor more than 500 underserved children's attendance at Holiday Heroes, and this year, we also hope to bring children whose families have served, or are serving, in our military. For some of these sponsored children, Holiday Heroes might be their only holiday celebration. We want to try to bring a bit of joy to kids during a time of uncertainty.
In addition to raising funds for at-risk children, Holiday Heroes is an interactive, family-friendly evening. There will be cookie decorating, face painting, video games, a photo booth, teddy bear stuffing & holiday arts & crafts. There will also be access to the batting tunnels and dugouts. There will be buffet ballpark food and drinks for kids of all ages as well as an AMAZING silent auction filled with trips, hotels, restaurants, family activities, and sports memorabilia & experiences. It will be a ginger-snappin', jolly time!
