Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan is well known for its amazing Hitachi-Wagyu Beef. You're invited to taste this amazing product this coming Monday!
The San Francisco office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Ibaraki Prefectural Government would like to invite you, as a member of the media, to attend a demonstration of the flavors of Hitachi-Wagyu beef at Hitachino Beer & Wagyu in San Francisco.
This is a great chance for you to taste Japan's legendary Wagyu beef paired with produce from Ibaraki, and served with saké and craft beer from Japan.
There will be two sessions:
Session One: Ibaraki Prefectural Government Presentation5 pm - 7 pmMr. Kazhiko Ooikawa of the Ibaraki Prefectural Office will give a presentation on Hitachi-Wagyu. He will introduce the Wagyu's production, distribution system and give marketing support. He will also lay out specific methods for branding this legendary product.
Cutting DemonstrationA demonstration of making rare cuts from all parts of Hitachi-Wagyu will be made. You will hear detailed explanations on meat quality, standards and variations that can meet the various demands of the American market.
Session Two: Preparing, Serving, and Sampling7:30 pm - 10 pmThe cuts of meat will be handed over to four chefs who will each demonstrate different ways to prepare, cook, and bring ot the most from Hitachi-Wagyu Beef. These dishes will be combined with delicious Ibaraki produce and paired with Saké and Craft Beer.
Note: due to the small size of the restaurant, there are only ten tickets available. Please RSVP quickly!
