Historic Photo Processes Forum

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Rob Shaffer will present his photographs made using the 19th century Kallitype process at this meeting of the Historic Photographic Processes Forum at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. He will explain how iron, the most common element on the planet, is the light-sensitive element used in the Kallitype photographic printing process. Attendees will learn how the Kallitype has been reborn by contemporary photographers who value its rich tonal range along with its compatibility with other print making techniques.
