Hiring Our Heroes

Join us April 11, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, guard and reserve members, and military spouses at the American Legion Post #318, 1504 Minnesota Avenue, San Jose, CA. This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers. Employers will be on-site doing interviews for real jobs. Past events have seen major corporations like 3M, Goodyear and Caterpillar actively seeking veterans for employment. The current goal is to facilitate the employment of 500,000 veterans and the program has currently placed over 100,000.

This SAP-sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the California Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, the California Department of Veterans Affairs, the California Employment Development Department, NBC News, and other local partners.
