We invite you to try something new on the first day of California State Parks Week! How about a guided night hike through the old-growth coast redwood forest? Immerse yourself in the quiet stillness of the nighttime forest. We will test our own nocturnal abilities and explore some of the adaptations our local nightlife relies on to live in the dark. For those new to nighttime hikes, this is a great way to give it a try in a group setting. We hope you can join us!
Hike: 1.5-mile round trip with about a 100-foot elevation change on uneven surfaces. Trail is not accessible.
How to prepare: It gets chilly at night, so dress in layers, wear suitable footwear, and bring water. Consider wearing mosquito repellent. Bring a flashlight, but we won't use them during the hike.
