Hikayatna: Two-Day Palestinian Narrative Training

Are you Palestinian?Does your family have incredible stories of survival and resilience? Do you want to learn more about your family history, and gain the tools necessary to start your own oral history project in the process?
Register for our two-day training!
Storytelling has served a central role in maintaining the Palestinian community, even as we are displaced across the globe. Hikayatna narrative training offers tools to Palestinians in the diaspora to collect, record and share their family stories as a catalyst for social change.
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PMSunday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
**All participants should be available to attend both days in full**
At Hikayatna narrative trainings, you will: -Learn methods and tools to record stories in narrative form and in historical context-Curate your familys history through recording stories, interviewing your elders, and archiving documents, pictures and artifacts-Refine your stories with follow-up support from Hikayatna-Develop skills to share your narratives in written, visual, and spoken formats for a variety of public spaces-Participate in opportunities to contribute your narratives to a collection of others online. And more!
*Photos will be taken at this event. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, we will ensure that the photographer respects your wishes. Please indicate in the survey at the end of the event registration if you prefer not to have your photo taken.
