Highlights of SLAC Lecture on May 23
The Saratoga Historical Foundation presents Archivist Dorothy Leung who will speak on the "Highlights of the History of the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) National Accelerator Laboratory" on May 23 at 7:00 PM on Zoom.

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, one of the U.S. Department of Energy's 17 National Laboratories, is a multi-program research institution operated by Stanford University and located in Menlo Park, California. Founded in 1962, the two mile long linear accelerator is one of the longest modern buildings on Earth. Here, scientists, engineers, technicians and support professionals work together to conduct world-class research in high-energy physics, X-ray science, structural biology, chemistry, materials and energy sciences, advanced accelerator physics and particle astrophysics/cosmology.
