About the Program:
AmeriCorps Seniors, a federally funded initiative, connects volunteers aged 55 and older with meaningful opportunities to serve their communities. Through the Foster Grandparent Program, volunteers work with children in schools and childcare settings, supporting their learning, play, and social skill development.
Eligible volunteers receive a small, tax-free and ongoing stipend for their service, as well as the chance to make a lasting impact in their community. The stipend does not impact current benefits and is excludable.
Our volunteers also collaborate with community partners to achieve their program goals, creating positive change for children and the broader community alike.

Income-eligible, with medical expenses deductible to meet requirements
Time Commitment
10-20 hours per week
