Heidrun Meadery Tour: Honey Mead in the French Champagne Style

Doctor Inkwell would like to introduce you to Heidrun Meadery. Don't know mead? Normally this beverage is a sweet, beer-like concoction. But not so at Heidrun---this is more like a delicate, floral champagne. On this tour, we will tour the production facility, learn about the the Méthode Champenoise process, tour the honey bee hives, learn about honey bee cultivation, and taste a variety of meads from the floral, citrusy California Orange Blossom to the subtly woody, fruity Arizona Desert Mesquite. As part of the Boozephreaks tour, participants are entitled to a small gift bag (including a bubble-saver from Heidrun) and picnic rental to enjoy on the grounds after the tour. You must be at least 21 years of age to join the tasting.
Note that Point Reyes Station is rural, so you should bring your lunch with you rather than planning to buy something after the tour, if you plan on joining the picnic.
Meet at the facility at 11:15am. Please arrive on time to avoid missing the tour.
