Issa Amro is a prominent human rights defender in Hebron/Palestine and founder of many pro-active, nonviolent organizations including Youth Against Settlements (YAS). He regularly gives tours to diplomats, prominent individuals, formal delegations, and other visitors to Hebron. He has testified before the United Nations on numerous occasions.
The flagship YAS campaign is "Open Shuhada Street." YAS also educates young Palestinians in nonviolent resistance through action, media, and advocacy work.
