Raised in a destructive home with an abusive father and an adulterous, alcoholic mother, Herschel's only saving grace was the memories of summers spent with grandfather and American baseball legend, Ty Cobb. As a baseball player in the major leagues, Ty was known for his ruthless and aggressive ways, but it was his legacy as a grandfather that saved the lives of 3 young children. "Heart of a Tiger" is an account of how a retired sports star seized a second chance at having a close family, with his grandchildren- the lucky recipients of his changed heart.
