Join us for a special gardening-and-cooking class with Chef Traci Des Jardins designed specifically for elementary school-aged children.
In this fun and interactive workshop, Chef Traci and Bon Appétit Manager of Food Education for Children Hannah Schmunk will lead the group on a tour of the El Polin Spring garden, where they’ll see fruits and vegetables growing, harvest ingredients, discuss plant parts, and prepare two healthy recipes to enjoy in a delicious picnic lunch.
By learning about the connection between what they eat and their ability to do what they enjoy, children go home with a newfound power to make better choices for their health. The workshop is free, but space is limited to 25 participants. Registration is required.
