In association with MoAD, Lorraine Hansberry Theatre presents a staged reading of "Harry and the Thief" by Sigrid Gilmer. In the play, Mimi's cousin Jeremy has a PhD in physics, a brand new time machine and a plan. He's sending Mimi, a professional thief, back to 1863 to change history by providing Harriet Tubman with modern day guns. Lots and lots of guns.
A discussion with the Director and cast follows the reading which is free and open to the public with General Admission to MoAD: $10 Adults/$5 Seniors & Students.
“Audacious, hysterically funny, irreverent and joyful. Filled with humor and humanity it boldly encourages us to re-imagine our collective memories." --Suzan-Lori Parks
