GAVIN & ROBBIE HARDKISS DJ BIO
San Francisco based DJ/producers ‘Robbie and Gavin Hardkiss’ have
reunited after a decade apart and have produced a collection of new
music that they are sharing through intimate DJ events for the
Winter/Spring 2013.
In the early 90's, along with faux brother Scott, they helped pioneer
the American electronic music scene with their groundbreaking record
label Hardkiss Music. They quickly joined the ranks of the
international DJ elite, DJing at raves in every city in the USA and
touring the world, eventually reaching legendary status with the
release of their classic double album, "Delusions of Grandeur." The
Hardkiss label served as a veritable do-it-yourself blueprint for its
predecessors, one that continues to be referenced and admired by
artists and fans throughout the world. After disbanding the label in
1998, Robbie and Gavin continued to produce for labels like Om, Six
Degrees, Classic, Hallucination, Hooj Tune, Noice & Warmth.
Highlights include Robbie's "Everything is Changing" releases on
London based dance label, Classic; and Gavin's genre bending albums
under the guise of Hawke.
