Happy-Hour Fundraising for Eva Chao for BART Board

SEE EVENT DETAILS
E&O is a very trendy Asian fusion restaurant near Union Square. Its Saturday happy hour where you can get fresh oyster for $1 is hugely popular -- and they run out fast. The happy menu snacks; peking duck bun, naan, satay are tasty. Sapporo is $4. House wine is $6. You can also order from main menu to share and split bill with folks on your table. This is a fundraising event for Eva Chao running for BART. Eva is in private sector all her life. She was recruited and persuaded to run. BART $2.3 billion a year budget was covered only 24% by fares. The remaining are by taxpayers in forms of income tax, property tax, district tax, bonds, etc.The mission of the BART is safe, clean, and reliable transit. In July'18, 3 deaths happened on/around BART platform/vicinity. Needles were found on seat. Fare evasion, people jumping over the gates are common issue. The BART has failed to deliver on its very basic mission. Now, it is getting into building high-density residence, taking away parking for drivers who left their cars to get into the city by BART. BART has deviate from its mission.Eva wants to stay true to BART's original mission; i.e. safe, clean, reliable transit. And be accountable to riders, taxpayers and workers in that order. Please come out to support Eva. Pick up a donation envelop. Bring a personal check or personal credit card. Campaign finance law also require that the campaign collects donors' job title and employers' info. We appreciate your cooperation in providing the info.Hope you have a great time with us!
