Halleck Vineyard and Akiko's Restaurant Dinner

Halleck Vineyard produces some of the finest wines in the world, recognized by over 10 national and international competitions and publications. Their Pinot Noirs and White wines placed at the top of the 2018 San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Competition, the largest, oldest and most prestigious in the US, including 7000 wines.
Akiko's Restaurant has been serving the finest sushi and crafted Japanese preparations to its discerning clientele for over 30 years, now in its second generation. It takes weeks to get a reservation at this unassuming gem tucked in downtown San Francisco. It does not have a sign. 
The fish is sourced from Japan's famed Tsukiji Fish Market daily, as well as local purveyors, drawing from our neighboring Pacific Ocean. Ray Lee, the son of the founder, has taken artisan sushi to new heights.
“We’re meticulous about detail and technique,” Lee says. “We bend rules and manipulate traditions.” Lee, however, doesn’t bend and manipulate just for the sake of doing it, but rather to respect the ingredients and enhance the diners’ experience. Soy sauce is aged in-house with applewood and dashi; sonic vibrators agitate the blend of regular, light and white soy and create the equivalent of a two-year age in just a few months. Fish is sourced with an intention toward wild, sustainable and conscious. Every detail is labored to achieve an experience for the guest that is legendary.
Jessica Furui, Akiko's Sommelier for wine and sake, and Ross Halleck sampled dozens of preparations with all of Halleck Vineyard's award-winning wines to develop a menu of flights and delights. Some special selections will be added to "sweeten the pot".
The restaurant is ours for the night. There will be only 2 seatings of 20 people each. There will be at least 6 courses with multiple preparations for each paired with a different wine. This is a one-of-a-kind experience to create memories and community for all who participate. Join us!
