OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL MUSIC FESTIVAL, one of the largest oyster and music festivals on the West Coast, announces its 18th Annual San Francisco date and musical artists. On Saturday, July 1 from 11am-6pm at Sharon Meadow, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL will showcase some of today’s most sought-after musical bands, including Kongos, Sir Sly, The Soft White Sixties and Panic is Perfect, mouth-watering food and beverages, and succulent oysters.

Festival-goers will also experience the event’s signature Shuck & Suck Competition, Cooking Demos, and Chef Shucking Demos. In addition, this year, OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL has partnered with Wild Oyster Project to help repopulate San Francisco Bay with wild oysters with shells collected at event, which will eventually be used for "seedlings" to attach themselves. OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL anticipates collecting approximately 60,000 shells from the event.

Past performances spanning a 20-year period include: Cheap Trick, Stone Temple Pilots, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphy, Michael Franti, Cake, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Young the Giant, Devo, Thievery Corporation, Edward Sharpe, Zac Brown, and Jackie Green.

OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL highlights include:

• The Annual Shuck & Suck Competition – this event will take place on the main-stage

• Bowmore Whiskey Tastings - Oyster and Whiskey tasting. Participant can shoot oysters and have them complimented with aged Bowmore Whiskey served with their oysters.

• Guinness Tastings - Guinness' Ambassadors will help attendees taste-test pairings of their beer selection with their choice of oysters. In addition, festival-goers can chronicle their first oyster experience at the Guinness video booth.

• Villa Maria Estates Wine Chill-Out Zone - The chill-out zone will feature champagne and wine tastings with oysters and host the chef demos.

The 18th Annual OYSTERFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL will continue its tradition of the unique combination of fresh oysters and extraordinary musical artists in each of its two locations, and it anticipates 50,000 festival-goers throughout the summer season.
