Guided experiment to connect brain & body using data

In this 2-hour meetup, we’ll do an experiment that brings together two concepts - quantified self and mindfulness. Everybody will take part in an awarenow live guided meditation with Daron Larson, who specializes in mindfulness practice as attention training.
Then, we’ll measure the physiological effects of meditation with heart rate variability and crunch your numbers to predict your scores on cognitive tests in real time.
The goal is to demonstrate:1. Many factors that affect human performance can be measured (and therefore managed).2. Measuring how these factors affect your body can help you adjust your lifestyle and optimize performance.
We’ll gladly share the data with you so you can check out the correlations yourself and make your own conclusions.
The results will be based on algorithms trained on Welltory’s database of over 2 million heart rate variability measurements and 2 billion data points - the richest database of heart rate variability measurements in the world.
