On October 26th, San Francisco will host the first ever Greater Good Food (is) Fair, sponsored by local leaders in the food integrity movement, including Rainbow Grocery, Bi-Rite, Slow Food SF, and Vital Systems, a socially responsible investment firm. The event will feature live music, organic and regionally-produced foods from local businesses, cooking demonstrations, and a farmers’ market. Panel discussions will also take place throughout the day: Food Integrity in Our Local Systems, Social Responsibility: Pathways to Community Well Being, and Community Gardens Responding to Community Needs. A keynote address by Tezozomoc, National Defense Council’s Growing Green Food Justice Leader of 2013, will highlight the event. (More about Tezozomoc here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tezozomoc/)
