Grazing at the Kitchen Table 2018

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Grazing at the Kitchen Table is a delicious evening that celebrates sustainable small farms, ranches, and the community who supports them.
Join us on Thursday, October 4th at Dogpatch WineWorks for a farm-to-fork feast at this year’s Grazing at the Kitchen Table fundraiser as we celebrate women in agriculture and food. Women who nourish our Bay Area community and build change in myriad ways as farmers, ranchers, chefs, producers, entrepreneurs, investors, winemakers, activists and leaders.
While a celebration of the women who nourish us may seem obvious to most of us, here are some of the reasons why we're excited to highlight a powerful community of changemakers that is all too often overlooked:

Only 14% of farms in U.S. are run by a female principal operator*

Only 16% of farms in California are run by a female principal operator*

The average female farmer's take home pay in the U.S is $2,560*

The average female farmer's net cash farm income in California is $13,393***

Meanwhile 60% of KTA client farms and ranchers are owned or co-owned by a women, and their average take home pay is $39,732.
At Kitchen Table Advisors, we are committed to a food system in which anyone passionate about feeding our community through social and environmental change is able to create a viable livelihood. In 2017, we served 39 farmers and ranchers, providing 1,804 hours of business advising. 52% of our client farms are owned by people of color, 60% are owned by women, 6% are owned by LGBTQ persons, and 59% are owned by immigrants or children of immigrants.
Graze with us this October, and let's build this system together.

What is on the menu?
Since all of the dishes will be made from local, seasonal produce we will be crafting our final menu about two weeks prior to the event. For your convenience, we will provide a list of the dish's ingredients at each station. Please feel free to notify us in advance of any dietary needs.  Along the way, there may be sneak peeks into what our chefs are dreaming up, just to get your taste buds tingling — it will be an amazing feast!

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. If you’re unable to attend the event (and we’ll be sorry to miss you!), email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to transfer your ticket to someone else of your choosing. Please be sure to include the new ticket holder's first and last name and email address. Since each ticket to the Grazing at the Kitchen Table fundraiser helps us support our clients, we can’t refund any unused tickets.

Can I update my registration information?
Yes, please do! The more up-to-date your registration information is, the better we can serve you. We want to make sure there’s something tasty on the menu for everyone, so please share any food allergies or dietary information to help you enjoy your evening.
