Get out your wallets and plan your outfits, because the exceedingly popular Good Omen Market will be returning to Classic Cars West on Saturday October 6th from 3-9PM. The sixth occasion of this market will continue the event’s upward trajectory, with the addition of in-person air-brushing by the East Oakland virtuoso Malcolm Stuart, live art-making by a number of artists, and new tape releases from the cosmically fresh Late Feelings DJ crew, who will provide the eclectic soundtrack for this day of community and craft at Classic Cars West in Uptown Oakland.
All of this will be alongside the carefully-selected group of over 60 vendors offering their one-of-a-kind ceramics, homeopathic remedies, zines, hand-sewn garments and so much more. Returning exhibitors include local self-publishing heroes Tiny Splendor and Irrelevant Press, silky and sensuous Marabou Lingerie, unapologetic visual art by Filth Cakes and soulful ceramics by Mud Witch.
Not too upscale, but not too grungy – Good Omen is the perfect balance of neighborhood talent and otherworldly charm. It doesn’t hurt that the guests are as stylish as the participants, and that it all happens in a mural-covered beer garden with tasty plant-based comfort food from Hella Vegan Eats. Do your holiday shopping early, or just treat yourself for the sole reason that you live in such an awesome place! We’ll see you in the dappled sunshine!
